SIMEDHealth is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our Imaging Department in Gainesville, FL.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Warm up x-ray equipment and processor for daily use.
  • Change date stickers daily.
  • Change and monitor film badges monthly to ensure employee safety.
  • Perform general radiograph exams per MD orders.
  • Assist medical providers with obtaining radiography reports.
  • Order and stock supplies for daily use.
  • Perform quality assurance protocols consisting of monthly collimator testing, yearly lead apron & glove testing, cleaning cassettes monthly with screen cleaner, calculating monthly statistics and creating monthly reports, and collaborating with Division Manager to update policy and procedure manual related to radiography as needed.
  • Ensure room and equipment is in proper order for next day's business.
  • Observe patient and staff safety policies & procedures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills at all times.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Current general radiographer license.
  • Current CPR license.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) license (preferred).
  • 1 – 2 years medical or hospital setting experience (preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a general radiographer.
  • Intergy or other electronic health record experience (preferred).
