Job Overview

Position Details: This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with a preference for candidates residing in the local community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in community-based services for children and youth, or 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as behavioral health, child welfare, or related human services.
  • Experience in areas such as family systems, community resources, case management, child counseling, or child development is essential.
  • Must demonstrate cultural competence and possess the skills necessary to manage complex cases effectively.
  • Ability to work with children and families experiencing serious emotional disturbances, trauma, or co-occurring behavioral health disorders.
  • Completion of high-fidelity wraparound training is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interaction with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is mandatory.
  • A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI certifications must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Preferred candidates will reside within the community they serve.
  • Internet service must meet specified minimum requirements for effective job performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage effectively with youth and families facing significant behavioral health challenges.
  2. Maintain an updated knowledge of community resources to assist families in accessing necessary support.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments and facilitate the creation of individualized, strength-based care plans.
  4. Monitor service delivery to ensure adherence to care plans and address any challenges that arise.
  5. Lead family team meetings, ensuring that families have a voice in their care and encouraging innovative solutions.
  6. Facilitate access to clinical consultations for youth as needed.
  7. Develop and review safety and crisis plans with families.
  8. Ensure compliance with documentation and engagement requirements.
  9. Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  10. Provide services in various community settings.
