Job Title: Neurological Surgery Specialist

Join the University of California, Irvine as a Neurological Surgery Specialist and contribute to the advancement of neuroscience and neurological surgery.

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly qualified individuals to fill positions in the Specialist series, including Junior Specialist, Assistant Specialist, Associate Specialist, and Full Specialist. As a Neurological Surgery Specialist, you will be engaged in specialized fields of neuroscience/neurological surgery, contributing to professional activity and University and/or public service.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and contribute to published or in-press research in the field of neuroscience/neurological surgery.
  • Engage in University and/or public service, including teaching and mentoring.
  • Develop and implement research projects, and collaborate with colleagues to advance the field.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Junior Specialists: Bachelor's degree or equivalent research experience.
  • Assistant Specialists: Master's degree or five years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
  • Associate Specialists: Master's degree or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization, with a record of academic accomplishments and University and/or public service.
  • Full Specialists: Terminal degree or ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization, with a significant record of academic accomplishments, professional recognition, and University and/or public service.
