Job Title: Lead Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Systems Engineering Directorate, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams of engineering professionals to deliver complex systems integration activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the overall execution of ship class programs across all disciplines
  • Drive priorities within ship class and coordinate the integrated effort
  • Have cost accountability for the ship class, aligning product EACs with SOW paragraph funding and contract values
  • Help with technical and programmatic coordination across the engineering teams, CE, PMO, and the customer for the ship class
  • Coordinate closely with the Program Manager(s) regarding budget and schedule
  • Work with Government counterparts to understand status, schedules, priorities, and objectives for events
  • Help manage suppliers for the ship class, working alongside the supply chain function
  • Manage staffing for the IPT, working with different disciplines
  • Coordinate, write, and deliver technical briefs to both internal and external customers
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering
  • Proven experience effectively leading multidisciplinary teams of engineering professionals
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit and whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors, including individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
