Job Summary

As a Licensed Psychiatric Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician at NPCRS, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical and psychiatric care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, monitoring residents for potential side effects, and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication and monitor residents for potential side effects
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure resident care needs are met
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of medical treatment for residents
  • Provide support during the admission process and initiate appropriate healthcare referrals
  • Implement activities and functions associated with ordering, monitoring, and handling medications
Requirements
  • A valid California Vocational Nursing and/or Psychiatric Technician license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
  • One year of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting
  • A clear criminal record review and fingerprint background check
  • A health screening, including a tuberculosis test, performed by or under the supervision of a physician
