Position Title: Site Operations Manager

Position Overview:

This role entails direct supervision and daily leadership in safety, planning, scheduling, and execution of work to ensure that plant assets are maintained through reliability-based maintenance practices, aligned with client expectations. This includes overseeing personnel engaged in facility maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all personnel receive appropriate training and adhere to required work practices.
  • Manage staffing needs through recruitment, selection, and hiring processes.
  • Delegate responsibilities to teams to uphold quality and customer service standards.
  • Enhance professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, including necessary training.
  • Conduct weekly safety inspections and janitorial assessments, addressing any compliance issues with supervisors and clients.
  • Facilitate weekly safety meetings.
  • Oversee timely completion of weekly time reporting and invoicing in accordance with company policies, ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting to clients.
  • Communicate personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and enforce safety protocols.
  • Maintain regular communication with other managers and designated contacts, ensuring timely responses to correspondence.
  • Monitor and report monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to project management.
  • Manage employee performance, including attendance and conduct, in collaboration with the Human Resources team and clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with onsite teams and project managers to devise and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve facility maintenance challenges, driving sustainable solutions.
  • Act as a collaborative team member on mechanical and cross-functional teams, providing resources as needed.
  • Utilize technical tools and programs effectively as provided by EMCOR or clients.
  • Offer support beyond standard working hours to foster positive client relationships.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging with clients and the EMCOR workforce.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial production environment is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years managing teams, including team leaders and supervisors, is required. Experience managing a workforce of at least 50 employees is preferred.
  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, OneDrive, etc.) is necessary.

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

  • Ability to complete hiring documentation electronically.
  • May need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to perform technical duties and essential functions.
  • Capability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Full range of motion consistent with age is required.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
  • Adequate hearing to respond to voice commands and alerts from colleagues and equipment.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination suitable for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety footwear is mandatory.
