Position Overview

The role of a Physical Therapist PRN involves providing outpatient care to patients at Community Health Network. This position requires a dedicated professional who can assess patient needs and create effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations to interpret results and establish patient goals.
  • Develop and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.
  • Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques to enhance patient recovery.
  • Engage in educational opportunities for students and contribute to interdisciplinary program planning.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment that promotes effective teamwork and positive patient outcomes.
  • Primarily work with orthopedic patients, with occasional assignments for neurologically impaired individuals.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid Indiana Physical Therapy license or temporary permit is required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred, although strong new graduates will be considered.
  • Familiarity with anatomy, evaluation methods, and current therapeutic techniques is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Understanding of the diverse needs of patients across different age groups is beneficial.
  • Physical capability to lift and transfer patients and equipment is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
