Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care for infants in the NICU.
  • Attend deliveries, perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments, and create discharge plans.
  • Administer medications, complete treatments, and provide education to families on homecare and treatments.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Neonatologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Delegate work to non-licensed staff and provide support and education to families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a NICU.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Registered Nurse, Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) certification, preferred.
