Job Title: PRN Part-Time Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at The Lakes at Texas City. As a PRN Part-Time Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations.
  • Monitor resident activity, evaluate nursing care, and provide care according to physician's orders, care plans, and facility policies.
  • Coordinate and assist with new admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
  • Transcribe physician's telephone orders and communicate with residents, family members, and other team members regarding resident status.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
  • Lead and monitor licensed and other professionals, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding residents' rights.
  • Participate in in-service training, assist in implementing orientation programs, and maintain professional competence.
  • Monitor environment and care practices to ensure compliance with established safety, fire, and disaster policies, as well as cleanliness and safety of work and treatment areas.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
  • Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be CPR Certified.
  • Ability to convey, explain, or interpret complex specialized information related to long-term care rules and regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, coordinate plans, distribute information, and develop a mutual knowledge base for effective implementation of state and federal rules and regulations.
