Velvet Cannabis is a leading retail dispensary based in California, seeking a professional Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
We partner with world-class cannabis brands to curate a unique and refreshing take on cannabis. Our extensive industry relationships and experience allow us access to some of the best, lab-tested, and safe cannabis products available at affordable prices.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Retail Sales Associate to provide an exceptional customer experience. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of Velvet Cannabis, responsible for greeting customers, facilitating sales, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Act in a professional manner, greeting customers, and ensuring exceptional customer experience.
- Cannabis Knowledge: Advise customers on cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and interests.
- Industry Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with cannabis industry standards, new products, strains, and changes in laws, as well as industry trends.
- Transaction Processing: Process customer transactions using Velvet's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the dispensary is clean, stocked, and well-organized at all times.
- Education and Upselling: Educate customers on the safe use of cannabis products provided at Velvet Dispensary and upsell when appropriate.
- Verification and Inventory: Verify proper identification of customers to verify they are of legal age to purchase and consume products offered and maintain inventory of cannabis products.
- Store Appearance: Maintain the professional appearance of the sales floor.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous cannabis experience preferred.
- Cannabis Knowledge: Knowledge of cannabis strains and their benefits, effects, etc.
- Customer Service: Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and multi-tasked oriented.
- Passion for Cannabis: A passion and interest for all things cannabis.
