Job Title: Application Engineer

Upland Talent is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our team in the OEM division. As an Application Engineer, you will provide engineering support to OEM customers and Company Power Systems Sales Personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with customers to define total requirements and work directly with their engineering personnel to analyze power systems needs.
  • Compile technical data required for customers to make informed decisions on engine purchases.
  • Participate in technical sales calls and presentations, and engage in customer engine forecasting and orders to minimize inventory.
  • Act as key negotiator on commercial aspects of assigned accounts and develop or package 3D drawing packages of engines and related components.
  • Provide on-site field support to OEM customers and complete field audits and testing of installed engine installations.
  • Manage customer engine inventory, forecasts, and engine orders, and document engine and component specifications required by individual customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with HS Diploma/GED.
  • 2 years industry-related experience preferred, with 1 year sales experience preferred.
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with strong PC knowledge and MS Office experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with experience in Electrical Power, Electrician, Generator, or Reciprocating Engine desired.
Travel and Working Conditions:

Up to 25% travel required, with minimum physical requirements including standing, walking, using hands, talking, and hearing. Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor, with moderate noise levels at times.
