We are seeking a part-time Cognitive Neuroscience Researcher to join our team at the CMU Laboratory for Multisensory Neuroscience (LiMN). The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research in attention and working memory using behavioral/psychophysics and neuroimaging techniques.

About the Position

This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work with renowned researchers, Dr. Barbara Shinn-Cunningham and Dr. Abigail Noyce, on a project investigating cortical contributions to visual and auditory cognition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or a related field, and proficiency in Python programming language for data analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze fMRI data to investigate cortical contributions to visual and auditory cognition
  • Conduct neuroimaging studies on attention and working memory

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, with keen attention to detail, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications
  • Masters degree in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python programming language for data analysis
  • Previous research experience with human subjects
  • Experience with experimental presentation software (PsychoPy, PsychToolbox, Gorilla, or others)
