Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at BLaST Intermediate Unit #17. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and clinics
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students with speech and language disorders
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or related field
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with students with speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

The Speech and Language Therapist will work in a variety of settings, including classrooms and clinics. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand for long periods of time. The therapist will also be required to travel to various locations within the Intermediate Unit #17 region.
