Electrical Design Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Lead to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role will oversee the electrical design execution for various project types, including Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, and more.

About the Role:

  • This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Electrical Engineers to take on a leadership role and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The successful candidate will have 8+ years of electrical design/project management consulting experience and be proficient in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, and a PE License is also desirable.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead electrical design teams and ensure designs adhere to QA/QC standards.
  2. Manage project/client relationships and coordinate with internal teams and specialists.
  3. Develop electrical systems diagrams, select/schedule electrical equipment, and prepare design deliverables.
  4. Assist with budgeting, review contractor change orders, and perform construction administrative duties.
  5. Work with contractors to resolve construction issues and attend meetings with clients and local jurisdictions.

Requirements:

  • Experience with electrical system studies (short circuit, over-current device coordination, and Arc Flash Hazard analysis per NFPA 70E).
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), State Energy Code, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines.
