Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Seminole Electric. This is an exciting opportunity to work on substation projects and contribute to the design and development of electrical systems.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and updating construction drawings, performing moderately complex design principles, and maintaining thorough knowledge of engineering standards and terminology. You will work independently to read and understand the content of drawings, notes, and common drawing symbols, as well as collaborate with project team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update construction drawings using CAD software
  • Perform moderately complex design principles and practices
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering standards, symbolism, and terminology
  • Interpret multi-discipline engineering documents
  • Apply engineering principles and established design practices in developing moderately complex design concepts
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Diploma/GED and five years' experience in substation project engineering and design or an Associates Degree in a technical-related field (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering Technology) and minimum three years' experience in substation project engineering and design. AutoCAD Certification is required.

Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to follow established protective measures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and possess a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
