Job Overview

The Coating Technician is responsible for the pre-treatment of various customer products utilizing standardized techniques to prepare items for coating applications. This role requires analytical skills and creativity to effectively manage and assemble chamber loads according to customer requirements. The Technician will also make essential processing decisions to initiate the coating procedure and will be accountable for disassembling and reconfiguring the chamber for future loads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily maintenance of pre/post-treatment equipment.
  • Optimize the use of production machinery.
  • Adhere to standard procedures and interpret customer work instructions.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Coordinator and Center Manager to address quality issues.
  • Provide training and support to fellow employees on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Acquire new skills and cross-train in various departments.

Candidate Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in HVAC, carpentry, automotive/industrial equipment repair, or construction preferred.
  • Familiarity with cutting tools (e.g., drills).
  • Previous experience with coating techniques, blasting, or plating is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
