Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic 2

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join our team at the Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health campus. As a journey-level tradesperson, you will assist the maintenance shop in performing a variety of tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, painting, carpentry, grounds maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, including laundry and kitchen equipment, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair electrical, mechanical, and structural systems of buildings and utility distribution.
  • Monitor safety, fire protection, and environmental control equipment to ensure building systems and equipment are operating in a satisfactory condition.
  • Respond to service requests and secure necessary assistance.
  • Take preventative and emergency action to control malfunctions.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment.
  • Work from plans, sketches, or drawings.
  • Estimate materials for completion of the job.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions described in this announcement successfully.
  • Must be able to communicate with professional conduct and comprehend, through oral and written forms of communication, with management, peers, clients, and the public.
  • Dress appropriately for the work to be performed, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment when necessary.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of mechanical trades, safety precautions, record keeping, and basic computer skills.
Who Should Apply:
  • Those with a high school diploma/GED.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • At least Four years of experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work; or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanical trade.
