Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at Macy's. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on 480, 208, and 120 systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Install transformers, panels, and conduit, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair motors, bearings, sheaves, drive belts, drive chains, sprockets, hydraulics, HVAC, material handling equipment, and perform welding tasks.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation, including maintenance manuals and PM instructions.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Resourceful self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as frequent use of computers and other technology. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is also required.

Random drug testing will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending on the facility size and number of employees.
