At Detroit Tool Metal Products, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and optimizing our manufacturing processes to meet customer product and facility metric requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine washing, painting, and manufacturing methods to meet quality standards and boost production efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and resolve quality issues through team collaboration and documented actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on product specs, maintain ERP/MRP data, and assist in estimating operational needs.
  • Implement technical training for staff, troubleshoot production issues, and adhere to company policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
  • 5+ years in the manufacturing industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Able to frequently walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and lift for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled and noisy environment.
  • Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices).
  • Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials.
  • Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time.
  • Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends.
