Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Westcare. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our clients, while ensuring that all meals are prepared in accordance with approved menus and health codes.
  • Culinary Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our culinary staff, including food preparation, storage, and supply management.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary environment, and that all food safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of food and supplies, including ordering and receiving deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to our culinary staff, and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality food preparation for large groups and/or institutional cooking and food service.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain Westcare's vehicle insurance.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to pass a criminal background investigation, CPR certification, First Aid certification, and an Annual Tuberculosis test.
