Job Summary:

The Global Corporate Controller will be responsible for leading the global Accounting team and manage all accounting strategy, operations, and reporting to support the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a global Accounting team of 10 and growing (US, Canada, UK, India)
  • Lead month-end close, reporting and analysis
  • Review monthly financial statements and liaise with Finance to provide KPIs and other
  • Lead financial integration of label acquisitions (3-5/yr)
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand business operations and processes to ensure alignment with accounting requirements
  • Support and train staff to ensure continuous development and effectiveness
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to tighten internal controls across the organization
  • Serve as the key contact for annual audits, tax compliance and bank reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA preferred
  • 10+ years in Accounting field
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role leading a successful team
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficiency with accounting and consolidation software; previous experience with NetSuite and Planful preferred
  • Possess a strong sense of business and financial judgment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial challenges
  • Ability to be adaptable and work in an ambiguous environment
  • Previous experience in a start-up or mid-market high growth company environment preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Previous experience with music royalties preferred

Compensation:

  • $170,000 - $200,000/annually
