Job Title: System Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our team at Federal Staffing Solutions Inc. in Washington, DC. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Manage and optimize VMware virtualization technologies.
Implement and maintain system security protocols in accordance with DoD standards.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Perform system patching and updates to ensure compliance and security.
Administer and support SharePoint and Jira for project management and collaboration.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a System Administrator in a DoD or similarly regulated environment.
Strong experience with VMware and virtualization technologies.
Strong experience with Windows Server administration.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and system security best practices.
Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and user permissions.

Preferred Qualifications:
CompTIA Security+ Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress
