Faculty Position in Anesthesiology

Salary Range:
The University of California salary scales establish the minimum compensation based on rank and step at the time of appointment. The salary range for this role is between $260,000 and $430,000, contingent upon rank and step. This position includes participation in the health sciences compensation plan, which allows for eligibility for additional remuneration.

The UCLA Department of Anesthesiology encompasses all anesthesia subspecialties, including cardiac, obstetric, neurologic, ophthalmic, pediatric, liver, transplant, pain management, and critical care. Faculty positions in these areas become available periodically. Appointment in the Health Sciences Clinical Educator Academic Professorial Series necessitates clinical and educational expertise, along with possession or eligibility for a California Medical License and American Board of Anesthesiology certification, or in the process of obtaining it. Interest or experience in clinical research is advantageous. Appointment as an Associate Professor or Full Professor requires a proven record of ongoing and effective engagement in high-quality creative activities.
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:- M.D. or equivalent
- Documentation of California Medical License & DEA Certificate
- Completion of Anesthesiology Residency & 1 Year of Fellowship for Faculty Title
- Successful completion of the oral examination of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
