About the Role:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist plays a vital role in the Diagnostic Imaging Services team at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute. Under the direction of the Interventional Radiology Section Director, Administrator of Diagnostic Imaging Services, Supervisor of Interventional Radiology, and Diagnostic Imaging Manager, this technologist is responsible for assisting in the performance of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies for interventional radiology procedures.
- Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure proper positioning and immobilization.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Provide exceptional patient care and communication, addressing patient concerns and needs in a compassionate and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography or related field.
- 1+ year of experience in interventional radiology or related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
