We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise to Providence Alaska Medical Center Lab and other healthcare institutions.
- Perform laboratory testing of patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Ensure accurate and timely results, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide diagnostic information and support patient care.
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent education/experience.
- Within 6 months of hire, obtain National Medical Laboratory Technician certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Medical Technologists, American Association of Bioanalysis).
- 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
