Electromagnetic Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Systems Engineer to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As an Electromagnetic Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing algorithms for electromagnetic systems, including radar systems and sensor algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for electromagnetic systems, including radar systems and sensor algorithms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop electromagnetic systems
  • Conduct research and analysis to improve the performance of electromagnetic systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Applied Physics, Applied Math, or Math
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Applied Physics, Applied Math, or Math
  • Intern experience related to electromagnetic systems
