About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Staff Accountant to join our team at Carr Riggs & Ingram. As a Tax Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns of varying complexities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end estimates, and draft responses to IRS and state notices as needed.
  • Make adjusting entries and complete a trial balance to prepare business returns.
  • Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience with a public accounting firm or a similar business environment.
  • Completed all requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
