Job Summary:

Axia Women's Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care and participating in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, primarily via the telephone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patient's health care needs based on patient's signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines.
  • Obtain appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care.
  • Accurately document symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Registered Nurse, a degree from an accredited nursing program, a current New Jersey certification as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding, lab specific order sets, and eCW are beneficial.
