Position Summary:
The Senior Test Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing Application, System, and Integration Testing teams, ensuring thorough evaluation across various geospatial intelligence systems. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of GEOINT across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor Mid-level and Junior system engineers in the testing and evaluation processes.
- Conduct testing of applications and APIs within DevOps pipelines, adhering to established quality assurance standards.
- Execute independent integration testing on both software and hardware systems to verify compliance with defined specifications.
- Design and implement both manual and automated test scripts utilizing various programming languages.
- Assist in technical investigations for any defects identified during testing phases.
- Refer to detailed work activities as outlined in the relevant sections of the job description.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Possession of an Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience in systems integration within government or industry, particularly with complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture.
- Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools.
- Familiarity with traditional, Agile, and DevOps methodologies and their corresponding testing strategies.
Preferred:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with tools such as JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, or GitHub/GitLab, along with programming languages like Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, and Javascript.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering and associated processes.
- Understanding of Software Development Frameworks.
- Previous experience with relevant programs/projects in the intelligence community or Department of Defense.
