About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Service Technician to join our team at Air Products. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial gas systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain cryogenic, high-pressure, and generated gas systems at customer sites across the assigned region.
  • Schedule and pay: hourly with opportunity for overtime. Some overnight shifts required. Occasional after-hours and/or weekend call-outs, 24/7 availability.
  • Learn new skills and work in a dynamic global industry, interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Utilize company-provided equipment, including a truck, gas card, tools, computer, and phone, as well as on-the-job training and company uniforms/PPE.

Requirements

  • Safety: Ability and desire to prioritize safety above all else.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with validated experience. Technical degree preferred but not required.
  • Clean MVR.
  • Technical skills: Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, and equipment, including hammers, drills, saws, wrenches, pliers, and ladders.
  • Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Electrical: Comfortable working on de-energized circuits up to 480V and tracing/measuring voltage/amperage on instrumentation circuits.
  • Mechanical: Knowledge of piping, regulators, valves, pumps, and compressors.
  • Communication: Ability to serve as a primary interface between Air Products and customers, as well as communicate effectively with management, sales, and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military experience in relevant fields, such as Machinist Mate, Electricians Mate, Electronic Technician, Aircraft Maintenance, or Cryogenic Technician.
  • Technical school graduates with experience in Process or Electrical Technology, Industrial Systems, Electrical Power and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or HVAC.
  • Relevant skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, welding, repair, construction, vehicle mechanics, small engine repair, fabricating, crane and rigging, fuel industry, or general maintenance.

Work Environment

This is a safety-sensitive position, and the selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions and temperatures.
