Los candidatos para el puesto de Especialista en Cuidados Respiratorios Senior tendrán las siguientes responsabilidades:
- El Terapeuta Respiratorio coordina y proporciona atención respiratoria de alta calidad centrada en el paciente, de acuerdo con la naturaleza y los requisitos específicos del departamento, y en consonancia con el alcance y los estándares de práctica para el estado y especialidad relevantes.
- Como parte vital del equipo de atención al paciente, el Terapeuta Respiratorio realiza una variedad de pruebas diagnósticas y procedimientos terapéuticos, y monitorea a los pacientes que reciben ventilación mecánica invasiva y no invasiva.
- Realizará y documentará la evaluación del paciente, incluyendo sonidos respiratorios, permeabilidad de las vías respiratorias y presión del manguito. También llevará a cabo procedimientos diagnósticos para evaluar la necesidad y respuesta a la terapia respiratoria.
- Administrará terapias de atención respiratoria, incluyendo la entrega de oxígeno, la entrega de medicamentos en aerosol y la fisioterapia torácica.
- Asistirá en la colocación de vías aéreas artificiales y será responsable de iniciar, monitorear y mantener la ventilación mecánica.
- Monitoreará al paciente para evaluar la respuesta terapéutica y notificará al proveedor, interviniendo según sea necesario en caso de una respuesta no intencionada.
- Asistirá en el transporte de pacientes dependientes de ventiladores.
- Responderá a situaciones de emergencia del paciente, asegurando la integridad de las vías aéreas y una ventilación adecuada durante la resucitación según sea necesario.
REQUISITOS DEL PUESTO:
Especialista en Cuidados Respiratorios Senior
TERAPISTA RESPIRATORIO REGISTRADO (RRT)
Turno Nocturno a Tiempo Completo
- 5 años de experiencia como RRT requerida, no necesariamente en entornos agudos, LTAC u otros.
- Terapeuta Respiratorio Registrado (RRT) del estado correspondiente.
- Título de Asociado.
- BCLS - Soporte Vital Cardíaco Básico debe obtenerse dentro de los 30 días posteriores a la fecha de inicio del empleo.
- ACLS - Soporte Vital Cardíaco Avanzado debe obtenerse dentro de los 30 días posteriores a la fecha de inicio del empleo.
- PALS - Soporte Vital Avanzado Pediátrico debe obtenerse dentro de los 30 días posteriores a la fecha de inicio del empleo.
- NRP - Resucitación Neonatal debe obtenerse dentro de los 60 días posteriores a la fecha de inicio del empleo.
