We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Veolia North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and asset management activities, including corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct the integrated maintenance and repair operations for the facilities and equipment for the South Fulton County Sewer System.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of maintenance services, including planned system overhauls, and renewal, replacement, and on-demand corrective repair services.
- Serve as project manager for Capital Maintenance Events.
- Provide input into the design and implementation of equipment repair and replacement solutions using the services of technical company personnel, outside consultants, and contractors.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is required or a combination of education and experience to meet the necessary skill level of the position.
- A minimum of ten (10) years managerial work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
- An extensive background in the maintenance of equipment similar to the equipment found within the treatment facilities.
- Experience with automated purchasing, maintenance systems, and project contract administration in the water/wastewater utilities industry is preferred.
The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks that require following basic safety precautions. The employee may occasionally be exposed to some dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, silica, electrical energy, solvents, vibrations, extreme temperatures, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
