Spa Therapist and Educator Job Summary

The Spa Therapist and Educator will be responsible for training and educating spa staff on spa services and protocols to ensure standards are being met. This role involves ensuring proficiency in all services provided associated with area of expertise, including skincare, waxing, massage, body treatments, nail care, product knowledge, and sanitation procedures. Additionally, the Spa Therapist and Educator will provide training and education for new and current spa technicians to maximize their understanding of spa services and ensure best practices are being used.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proficiency in all spa services and protocols
  • Provide training and education for spa staff
  • Coordinate and execute training programs for new hires
  • Strive to ensure that all spa staff consistently produce established retail/service goals
  • Work closely with the spa director to establish daily and weekly targets for the service group
  • Ensure all inventory levels and orders are accurate and meet the spa's needs based on volume
  • Maintain consistent communication with the spa director

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a high-end resort or urban spa environment
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Cosmetology training from an accredited/approved massage therapy school
  • Ability to interact professionally and with sensitivity to the needs of guests and co-workers
  • Commitment to provide the highest quality skincare therapy to those who seek their professional service
