Job Description

**Job Title:** Direct Care Staff

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff to join our team at The Harmony Center. As a Direct Care Staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized plans of care for clients, including training and supervision as needed.
  • Supervise the self-administration of medication by residents, as applicable.
  • Conduct regular inspections of living areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as record all accidents and incidents that occur on each shift.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Active Treatment plans, including training residents in good personal habits and household maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and participate in leisure time and recreational activities, encouraging social skills and development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Plan Manager or Assistant Service Plan Manager.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • At least 23 years of age (exceptions may be made for candidates with at least 5 years of experience in a residential care facility).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
