About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Analysis Specialist to join our team at Bank of America. As a key member of our Global Risk Analytics function, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining models and analytical tools to effectively manage risk and capital across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement automated data integrity controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of risk data.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient Python code to support the development of risk models and analytical tools.
  • Work closely with lead developers to implement Python application architectures and designs.
  • Maintain existing applications to support operations and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Produce high-quality documents, including design documents and class diagrams, to support the development and implementation of risk models and analytical tools.
  • Perform testing with technical peers and functional end-users to ensure successful launch of development projects.
  • Support ad-hoc operational queries for Data Controls & Integrity (DCI) and promote quality engineering and good coding practices across the company.
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a STEM field.
  • Robust background in Python and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • 2-5 years' experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on risk management and analytics.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive issues, prioritize multiple processes and projects, and articulate thought process for decision-making.
  • Experience with Data Incident Tracking tools such as JIRA/eDIM.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Proven programming skills in Python, Tableau, SQL, and object-oriented programming.
  • Prior experience working in Quartz development in Bank of America in a developer role.
  • Basic understanding of traded products in global markets, counterparty credit risk, collateral, netting, and exposures.
