Thoracic Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at Creighton University Medical Center CHI Health. As a member of our vibrant program, you will have the opportunity to expand our clinical, research, and educational activities.

About the Role

The Thoracic Surgery program is part of an integrated, multispecialty system committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. Our Section of Pulmonary Medicine is ranked as one of the nation's highest quality programs, and our cancer center boasts a high level of expertise and a busy clinical trial portfolio.

As a busy academic institution, Creighton University Medical Center CHI Health offers a range of opportunities for research and collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat various thoracic diseases and conditions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Board certified or eligible in Thoracic Surgery.
  • Minimally invasive/robotic surgery experience.
  • Strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research.
