Thoracic Surgeon Opportunity

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a highly skilled Thoracic Surgeon to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Thoracic Surgeon at our institution, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and cases, and contribute to the advancement of thoracic surgery through research and education.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex thoracic surgeries, including lung resections, esophagectomies, and mediastinal tumor resections
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with thoracic diseases, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and other conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pulmonologists, oncologists, and radiologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in research studies and clinical trials to advance the field of thoracic surgery
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows
Requirements
  • MD/DO degree
  • Board certification in thoracic surgery
  • Minimum 3+ years of post-training experience
  • Ability to obtain an NC medical license
  • Commitment to excellence with the highest level of integrity and a reputation for compassion, fairness, and objectivity
