Job Title: Controller

San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. The Controller will be responsible for leading all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close, to ensure complete, timely, and accurate financial information is available to staff, management, and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all SFAF's accounting functions (AP, AR, and month-end close) to ensure complete, timely, and accurate financial information is available to staff, management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely filing of all financial, tax, and payroll reporting as required by government and regulatory agencies.
  • In partnership with the CFO and the Sr. Director of Budget and Contracts, support the external annual financial audit that includes the Single Audit in connection with federal grants.
  • Timely file and complete the annual tax form 990 at the federal and state level according to applicable government regulations.
  • Ensures SFAF's financial policies follow generally accepted accounting principles and practices and with all applicable government regulations related to accounting and adhere to SFAF's internal controls as stated in its policies...
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in accounting and financial management in an automated setting reflecting increasing levels of responsibility or five years similar experience with a CPA and/or MBA.
  • Supervision and team building experience required.
