Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations First Line Leader to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees to deliver results in line with shift performance goals in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embody and promote DuPont's Core Values
  • Plan shift activities and resources to optimize performance in line with production goals
  • Operate with Excellence by engaging team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Responsible for coaching and holding team accountable for safety, behavior, performance, and quality
  • Coaches, develops and provides performance feedback to team members
  • Hires, retains and develops talent to meet current and future capabilities
  • Partners with leaders to stay informed of the business strategy and needs
  • Effectively communicate and implement site directions and messages to team
  • Documents and completes administrative requirements timely and efficiently
  • Ensures work is completed per published schedule
  • Facilitates team processes, including problem solving and issue resolution
  • Leads or participates in EHS & Quality investigations and determines appropriate corrective action
  • Ensures employees comply with established Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitors and makes adjustments to controllable costs for shift
  • Completes Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent line walks
  • Initiates awards and recognition for individuals and/or teams
  • Organizes and manages staffing levels to ensure adequate support for production needs
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar setting
  • People leadership preferred
  • Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process) experience preferred
  • Confident with current computer applications and skills
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
