Job Summary

As a key member of the North American IT organization at Assa Abloy, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the systems infrastructure. This includes managing local backup solutions, implementing and testing adjustments and extensions of existing solutions, and ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

Operation and monitoring of IT solutions
System administration
Management of local backup solutions
Management of the VMWare setup
Creation of redundant setups for IT solutions whenever possible
Implementation and testing of adjustments and extensions of existing solutions
Daily monitoring of systems and system integration
Analysis and resolution of reported problems
Execution of security vulnerability remediation
Documentation of monitoring procedures
Management of contacts with suppliers of local IT systems

Development of IT Solutions

Development of usage of IT solutions
Management of both local and regional projects related to IT infrastructure
Participation in regular meetings with IT colleagues in the divisional infrastructure team
Documentation of procedures and solutions and local infrastructure
Initiation and implementation of optimizations of business processes

Team Member

Participation as a team member of the NA IT Operations team
Collaboration with the Divisional Infrastructure team
Cooperation with Application Operation and Information Solutions

First/Second Line Support

Resolution of second/third line support based on tickets in the Service Desk system

Key Competences

Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Entra AD, Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 and beyond, Cisco Networking, and Meraki Networking
Experience with Microsoft Teams
Basic MS Exchange understanding
VMware knowledge and experience
Veeam backup system knowledge and experience
Networking skills/experience with Windows Server-based networks
Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting 2nd and 3rd level problems
Knowledge of the ITIL framework with a focus on service requests, incidents, and problem management
Knowledge of working with major Service Desk systems

Requirements

College degree or university in computer science or relevant work experience
+5 years of experience in a global company working with central infrastructure
Experience working in hosted/central environments
Experience working and supporting a production facility
Willingness to travel within the NA region and once a year for the ITO meeting
Fluency in English (verbal and writing)
