Role Summary: The Production Planning Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that all necessary materials and products are accurately allocated for production activities. This position collaborates closely with the Senior Master Planner to maintain seamless operations. Responsibilities include managing daily work orders and material requests across various production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming work orders efficiently.
  • Generate and submit material requests and purchase requisitions to the Supply Chain department to align with the production timeline.
  • Establish and monitor work-in-progress (WIP) schedules to guarantee adherence to delivery and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of open orders.
  • Address inquiries from Customer Support, Supply Chain, and Production regarding product status.
  • Oversee Manufacturer and Build Orders in collaboration with the Machine Shop to ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control to prioritize product flow through the department.
  • Work alongside Shipping and Receiving to confirm that products are delivered to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and MS Word, with MRP experience being advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor, sensitivity to the needs of internal customers, and strong listening abilities.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to optimize process flows for effective troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate strong time management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skilled in coordinating and resolving various planning challenges.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
