Job Title: Senior Retail Sales Associate

AutoZone is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Senior Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales through exceptional customer service and providing a WOW customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure that every customer interaction is positive and memorable, exceeding their expectations and building loyalty.
  • Operate Cash Registers and Follow Cash Handling Procedures: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain Store Appearance and Merchandising Standards: Ensure that the store is visually appealing, merchandise is properly displayed, and the sales floor is well-organized.
  • Restock and Replenish Merchandise: Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in its designated area, maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize ZNET to Assist Customers: Use ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives, providing a seamless shopping experience.
  • Maintain Product Knowledge and Current Promotions: Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and current promotions through AutoZone systems and information sources.
  • Practice GOTTChA and Assist with Installations: Provide excellent customer service and assist with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs.
  • Diagnose Automobile Problems and Recommend Solutions: Utilize OBDII to read codes from customers' automobiles and provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations.
  • Communicate with Managers and Colleagues: Effectively communicate with managers and colleagues regarding customer concerns, employee matters, and sales performance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Basic Knowledge of Automotive Parts: A basic understanding of automotive parts is necessary for this position.
  • Excellent Communication and Decision-Making Skills: Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to Lift, Load, and Deliver Merchandise: The ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise is required for this position.
  • Flexible Schedule: A flexible schedule is necessary to meet the business needs, including holidays, evenings, and weekend shifts.
