Job Description

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Activity Therapist to join our team at MCI-Framingham. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide purposeful, goal-oriented activities that teach and facilitate skills in assertiveness, independent living, interpersonal and social skills, and promoting individualized interest and pursuits.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, social work, or a related field, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams. You will work closely with licensed behavioral health staff to provide routine care for behaviorally impaired and emotionally disturbed patients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing treatment curriculums in conjunction with the Unit Coordinator
  • Facilitating activity-based contacts in individual and group settings, and maintaining data collection and tracking
  • Conducting non-clinical therapeutic interventions in treatment units and in conjunction with Qualified Mental Health Professionals
  • Assisting clients in building social skills in the general population that will enhance overall wellbeing
  • Attending training and meetings as required
