Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Section Manager to join our team. As a key member of our control systems team, you'll be responsible for leading the operations of the section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the control systems design team and take responsibility for production on projects, in addition to management responsibilities.
  • Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections.
  • Be involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews.
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
  • Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel.
  • Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.
  • Coordinate the work of the control systems design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project, and assist with capturing additional controls design and systems integration work.
  • Write and edit control systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devices.
  • Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
  • Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents.
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • A minimum of 10 years applicable experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience designing and managing control systems projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
