Exciting Opportunity for a Cytotechnologist at LabCorp

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Cytotechnologist to join our team at LabCorp in Miami, FL. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases by analyzing and interpreting cytological specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for malignant or abnormal conditions
  • Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens and ensure proper documentation of workload recording
  • Meet slide screening requirements and finalize testing results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed
  • Comply with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology, or related life science from an accredited college/university
  • Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program
  • ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required
  • Florida state Cytology licensure is required
  • Prior experience working in Cytology is preferred
  • ThinPrep certification is a plus
  • Must pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency test
