Compensation:

Unit Member per credit: $2,253.60 / Per 3 credit class: $6,760.80
Non-Unit Member per credit: $1,496.73 / Per 3 credit class: $4,490.19

General Responsibilities:
The Department of Mathematics at Westfield State University is seeking applications for part-time instructors to join our Faculty Pool. We currently have openings for in-person courses, including Elementary Statistics and Mathematics Applications. Qualified candidates may teach between one and three courses, with anticipated availability for additional courses in subsequent semesters. Each course typically accommodates around 25 students.

We are looking for educators who are passionate about active learning and high-impact teaching practices. Instructors will be responsible for delivering quality, engaging learning experiences for students.

Part-time faculty will benefit from access to a private workspace, campus computer, collaboration with fellow faculty members, and participation in departmental events.

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or a related field

  • Willingness to engage with our learning management system
  • A commitment to diverse teaching and assessment strategies
