Job Overview
The Fresh Air Fund, a renowned youth development organization, seeks a highly skilled Camp Lifeguard Leader to join our esteemed team. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to combine lifeguarding skills with counseling experience in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Salary: $2,600

About the Role
This challenging yet rewarding position requires a strong swimmer who can supervise waterfront activities, instruct swim lessons, and maintain facilities while adhering to safety regulations. As a Lifeguard and Counselor, you will work closely with campers, providing guidance, support, and supervision during their summer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in all waterfront-related activities, including swim classes, boating classes, and supervising free swim and special events.
  2. Maintain the waterfront, boating, and fishing facilities to comply with all safety regulations.
  3. Submit required forms, evaluations, and records to the Waterfront Director.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp.
  • At least one year of college is preferred, but a high school diploma is required.
  • Applicants do not need to have a current lifeguard certification but must be a strong swimmer and meet American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course requirements.
