About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at First Student, responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of safety and quality that our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with our vehicles, using your technical expertise to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure that all vehicles are safely and reliably maintained, and that our customers receive the highest level of service.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles.
  • A valid driver's license and a willingness to obtain a CDL (we will provide training for this).
  • A mechanic's tool set and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair principles.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate, ranging from $30.25 to $36.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • A $5,000 sign-on bonus, available to eligible candidates.
  • ASE incentive of $0.25 per hour for each relevant ASE obtained (we pay for the training materials and exams).
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) with company matching, and paid time off.
