Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Compass Government Solutions, LLC. As a Nurse Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating complex clinical operations and providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess and treat acute problems using established nursing protocols and refer patients to advanced practice providers, physicians, or other specialists as needed.
  • Coordinate Clinical Operations: Supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel, administer medications, and perform various treatments as ordered by medical providers.
  • Screen and Intake Patients: Conduct prescreening and intake screening of patients, using established tools to gather subjective and objective data and refer abnormal findings to medical providers.
  • Respond to Medical Emergencies: Provide emergency care to stabilize patients and prevent deterioration, and transfer patients to appropriate levels of care.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited nursing program and have a minimum of one year of professional experience as a licensed registered nurse in a hospital, medical office, or residential setting.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current, full, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state where the duty station is located, and BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Detention/Correctional Healthcare: Previous experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Certified Correctional Health Professional: Certification as a Certified Correctional Health Professional, Registered Nurse, or Certified Corrections Nurse is preferred.
