Job Title: Heavy Truck Driver

Join Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation, a leading provider of innovative contract solutions, as a Heavy Truck Driver. As a key member of our team, you will operate a combination of equipment, including street sweepers, tractors with trailer, and dump trucks, to support our construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Loading general construction equipment, including skid steer, excavators, back hoes, and vertical lifts, after training.
  • Assisting Heavy Equipment Operators and other departments with hauling materials.
  • Snow removal during the snow season, with a flexible schedule to accommodate a 4x10 schedule as needed.
  • Periodic on-call scheduling.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.
  • Valid state CDL Class A driver's license with a minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving straight bodied trucks and/or tractor-trailer combinations without an accident.
  • Tanker Endorsement or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission.
  • Experience operating a semi-truck preferred.
  • Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds.
  • Hazmat endorsements preferred.
  • Vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to interact well with others in a team setting or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
